Saidin Bin Lotupas

Charming and multi-talented Saidin oversees the overall maintenance and upkeep of Kiulu Farmstay, a community-based eco-tourism project involving several villages in the area, including his own, Kampung Pinagon. A natural at leading and organising others, Saidin coordinates the activities at the farmstay as well as his team’s assignments, though he’s not one to shy away from showing visitors around and impressing them with his incredible repertoire of general knowledge and enthusiasm! Prior to working as a Field Coordinator in Borneo Eco Tours, Saidin held stints as a farmer, rubber tapper, woodworker, tailor, and maintenance worker, among many other jobs – the experience has moulded him into the wise, versatile, and occasionally cheeky yet lovable leader he is today.

Joeharry Bin Ahmad Zamri

Joeharry, who goes by just “Joe”, is our maestro on wheels who hails from Kampung Mantob, Kiulu! He oversees quadbiking operations at Borneo Quadbiking, bringing visitors around on adrenaline-pumping rides through the rolling hills of Kiulu’s countryside. The fun-loving father of 3 had previously worked as an IT clerk at a local hypermarket and a coffeeshop supervisor, but it’s on the road that he’s found his passion. Joe enjoys the boost of adrenaline he gets from driving around on a quadbike, as well the opportunity to meet new people of different nationalities and bring them awesome memories on their trip to Sabah, Borneo.

Aryl Macwel

Kiulu Farmstay’s infectiously cheerful and energetic In-house Guide! Hailing from nearby Kampung Malanggang Baru, local girl Aryl found herself working for the Farmstay in 2017, and has since become an important part of its team. She relishes every chance she gets to meet new people from different countries and show them the culture of Kiulu, all while infusing their experience with her special blend of knowledge and enthusiasm. Even when she’s not guiding, Aryl maintains a healthy and active lifestyle, taking part in fitness dancing, Zumba, and futsal.

Linus Gotou
